SD-08 speed sensor is a sensor specially used for measuring locomotive speed produced by Nanyang Huaye Instrument Co., Ltd. on the basis of introducing and digesting German technology. The sensor is installed on the speed measuring end cover. It does not contact the gear being measured, is wear-free, easy to install, has a wide speed measuring range, and is highly resistant to shock. It is suitable for speed measurement in harsh environments. The sensor can also be used for underground locomotives or in conjunction with power station steam turbines. 2. Working Principle

When the speed measuring gear rotates, the sensor will generate a square wave signal with a frequency of f(Hz)=n(r/m)xp/60 (n is the speed, P is the number of gear teeth) for the locomotive electronic control system to sample, detect and control the locomotive speed and diesel engine speed.

5. Installation, use and troubleshooting

1. The working power supply of the SD-08 speed sensor is not allowed to be connected to the locomotive battery, and the output of the voltage-stabilized power supply should be isolated.

2. The sensor output wires are strictly wired according to the wiring definition in the manual to ensure correctness, no short circuit or open circuit. It is strictly forbidden to short-circuit the pulse output with the positive end of the power supply.

3. The sensor is assembled according to the installation diagram in the manual. The gap between the gear and the sensor head is adjusted to 0.8mm. After the gap is adjusted, tighten the two fixing screws.

4. Before the sensor is installed in the speed measuring end cover, power on the test, use the ferromagnetic sheet to contact and leave the head of the sensor, and the output level changes from high to low, which is normal.

5. Under normal operation, the sensor output level does not change (high or low), which means the sensor is damaged. The solution is: replace the sensor.

6. The wire is damaged due to external force. The solution is: replace the sensor.

1. When placing an order, the user should specify the sensor model, external wiring length, and terminal form.
